Recap: Dartmouth vs. Yale

Hanover, NH (SportsNetwork.com) - Brandon Sherrod netted 15 points, leading the Yale Bulldogs over the Dartmouth Big Green, 67-54, in Ivy League action at Leede Arena.

Sherrod sank 7-of-7 at the free-throw line for the Bulldogs (10-9, 4-1 Ivy League), who have won five of their last six games. Justin Sears grabbed 10 rebounds in the win.

Eli Harrison scored 12 points to lead the Big Green (9-10, 2-3), who fell after winning back-to-back games. Harrison was the team's only double-digit scorer.

The Bulldogs came out of the gate strong, shooting 63.2 percent from the field in the opening half. It was the another story for the Big Green, who shot a mere 16 percent and trailed 30-16 by halftime.

In the second half, Yale's 42.9 percent from the floor was good enough to close out the win. Although Dartmouth did improve to shoot 40.6 percent, it wasn't enough to erase the first-half deficit.

The Bulldogs outscored their hosts 22-18 in the paint, where they heavily outrebounded the Big Green, 38-29.
