Recap: Oregon State vs. Quinnipiac

Corvallis, OR (SportsNetwork.com) - Angus Brandt scored a game-high 21 points to carry the Oregon State Beavers to a 76-68 victory over the Quinnipiac Bobcats in a non-conference battle at Gill Coliseum.

Roberto Nelson finished with 19 points for Oregon State (8-4). which had lost two of its previous three games. Hallice Cooke added 12 points and Devon Collier contributed 11.

Umar Shannon paced Quinnipiac (6-5) with 18 points. Ike Azotam added 17 points and Ousmane Drame (11 points, 12 rebounds) posted a double-double.

Oregon State went into halftime, leading 39-29, after shooting 55.2 percent from the field, while holding Quinnipiac to 29.4 percent.

The Beavers cooled to 37 percent shooting after the break, but hit 14-of-17 shots at the free-throw line to hold off the Bobcats.

Despite the loss, Quinnipiac still won the battle of the boards, 43-36.
