Recap: Utah vs. UC Davis

Salt Lake City, UT (SportsNetwork.com) - Brandon Taylor scored a game-high 21 points and Jordan Loveridge posted a double-double as the Utah Utes routed the UC Davis Aggies, 94-60, in a non-conference tilt at the Huntsman Center.

Loveridge had 11 points to go with 15 rebounds and Renan Lenz dumped in 20 points on 9-of-11 shooting for Utah (2-0). Delon Wright nearly notched a double-double of his own with 12 points and nine rebounds.

Brynton Lemar had 14 points off the bench to pace UC Davis (1-2). Corey Hawkins and Josh Ritchart each added 11.

At halftime Utah led 45-29 after shooting 56.7 percent from the field, including 5-of-10 from beyond the arc. UC Davis netted just 35.3 percent from the floor in the first frame.

After halftime the Utes improved to 64.3 percent shooting while the Aggies struggled again, knocking down just 32.3 percent of their field goal attempts including misses on all 10 from beyond the arc.

Led by Loveridge and Lenz the Utes dominated the interior, with advantages on points in the paint (50-30) and on the boards (49-27).
