Recap: Northern Iowa vs. Bradley

Cedar Falls, IA ( - Seth Tuttle scored 24 points and came a rebound shy of a double-double as the Northern Iowa Panthers opened Missouri Valley Conference play with an 80-46 rout of the Bradley Braves at the McLeod Center.

Matt Bohannon added 16 points for Northern Iowa (7-6, 1-0 MVC), which has won four of its last five. Wes Washpun tallied 15 points and eight assists and Jeremy Morgan chipped in 10 points off the bench.

Walt Lemon Jr. scored 17 points and Omari Grier contributed 10 for Bradley (4-9), which has lost nine of its last 10.

At halftime the Panthers led, 42-26, after outshooting Bradley 48.3 percent to 34.6 percent.

The second half was more of the same as the Panthers connected on 48.1 percent from the floor, while holding the Braves to eight field goals.

Northern Iowa enjoyed hefty scoring advantages from beyond the arc (30-9), in the paint (31-18) and off turnovers (19-3).
