Recap: Washington vs. Utah

Seattle, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - Andrew Andrews scored 19 points as the Washington Huskies held on to defeat the Utah Runnin' Utes, 59-57, in a Pac-12 Conference affair at Alaska Airlines Arena.

Also scoring in double figures for the Huskies (10-6, 2-1 Pac-12) were C.J. Wilcox and Nigel Williams-Goss with 14 and 13 points, respectively. The win was the fourth in the last five outings for Washington.

The Utes (12-3, 1-2) were paced by Delon Wright who scored a game-high 27 points and also pulled down 11 rebounds as he played all 40 minutes for the visitors. The only other Utah player to score in double figures was Jordan Loveridge who tallied 10 as the group bowed for the second time in three games.

Utah fell behind by eight points right out of the gate and didn't score until Loveridge knocked down a pair of free throws at the 13:40 mark. The first made field goal for the Utes didn't arrive until a minute later when Wright converted a layup. Playing catch-up in the first half, Utah trailed by five points at the break, 26-21.

Wright had a chance to win the game for the Utes but, with the visitors trailing by two and the clock ticking down, his 3-point attempt from the corner sailed over the rim at the buzzer.

The Utes made their one and only 3-point basket, on 15 attempts, in the final minute of the meeting.

Game Notes

Expect points galore when Marshall hosts FAU
