Recap: Drake vs. Loyola-Chicago

Des Moines, IA (SportsNetwork.com) - Richard Carter notched a game-high 20 points and the Drake Bulldogs knocked off the Loyola-Chicago Ramblers, 70-62, in Missouri Valley Conference play at the Knapp Center.

Jordan Daniels logged 12 points for the Bulldogs (13-13, 4-10 MVC), who snapped a four-game losing streak. Seth VanDeest secured 12 rebounds in the win.

Milton Doyle recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Ramblers (9-17, 4-10), who have lost five of their last six. Christian Thomas scored 16 points.

The Bulldogs shot a confident 56.5 percent in the opening half to their opponent's 34.8 percent. At halftime, they were up, 34-22.

The Ramblers improved to 46.2 percent in the latter half, but the Bulldogs' 45.8 percent was enough for them to keep their distance.

Drake outscored the visitors in bench points, 20-14.
