Recap: Air Force vs. Boise State

USAFA, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - Kamryn Williams registered a double-double with 22 points and 13 rebounds as the Air Force Falcons held on for a 64-61 overtime victory over the Boise State Broncos in a Mountain West Conference thriller at Clune Arena.

Max Yon contributed 11 points and seven rebounds for Air Force (12-17, 6-12 MWC), while Tre' Coggins chipped in 10 points before fouling out.

Jeff Elorriaga led the Broncos (19-12, 9-9) with 15 points on 5-of-15 shooting from the floor. Anthony Drmic knocked down only 2-of-9 attempts from 3-point range en route to 14 points and Thomas Bropleh also netted 14 points. Ryan Watkins recorded a double-double with 10 points, 12 boards and four blocks for Boise State as it lost its second straight.

The Falcons did a great job of sharing the ball in the opening period as they assisted nine of their 12 makes from the floor and committed only four turnovers. Boise State went into the intermission trailing, 30-23, after it made only seven of its 19 field goal attempts in the first half.

The Broncos took control in the second half as they overcame the halftime deficit and took a 44-39 lead by the 10:31 mark of the period. Boise State was held scoreless over the next six minutes, which allowed Air Force to jump back in front to a 50-44 advantage. Drmic scored nine points over the next three minutes to help Boise State to a 55-53 lead, but Yon tied the score with a pair of made free-throws with 42 seconds showing on the clock. Both sides failed to capitalize on late possessions, which sent the contest into overtime.

Yon scored seven of the Falcons' nine points in overtime to put it out of reach. Boise State scored only three points in the extra session before Drmic sank a 3-pointer at the buzzer.

Air Force finished with a 40-32 edge in total rebounds and outscored the Broncos, 26-16, in the paint.
