Recap: Indiana State vs. IUPUI

Terre Haute, IN (SportsNetwork.com) - Manny Arop scored 25 points on 9-of-13 from the field, as the Indiana State Sycamores blew out the IUPUI Jaguars, 81-61, in a non-conference matchup at the Hulman Center.

Justin Gant scored 18 points for the Sycamores (8-3). Jake Odum paced the team with seven assists.

Marcellus Barksdale recorded a double-double with 17 points and 11 boards while also adding six assists for the Jaguars (4-10). Mitch Patton added 15 points, while Ian Chiles chipped in 13.

Indiana State got out to a fast start by shooting 51.9 percent from the floor in the first half, including 4-of-9 from 3-point range to take a 39-32 lead into the half. The Jaguars hung around by making 46.2 percent of their field goal attempts.

The Sycamores shot 59.3 percent from the field in the second half, which allowed them to cruise to an easy win. IUPUI struggled, making only 36.7 percent of its shots from the field.

Indiana State won the battle on the glass, outrebounding the Jaguars 37-29.
