Recap: Boise State vs. Portland State

Boise, ID (SportsNetwork.com) - Led by 14 points apiece from Ryan Watkins and Derrick Marks, the Boise State Broncos dismissed the Portland State Vikings, 76-60, in a non-conference bout at Taco Bell Arena.

Watkins added 13 rebounds and three steals to his stat line for Boise State (6-0), while Mikey Thompson and Igor Hadziomerovic chipped in 13 and 12 points, respectively. Anthony Drmic narrowly missed a double-double with nine points and eight boards for the hosts.

DaShaun Wiggins scored a game-high 19 points coming off the bench for Portland State (4-2). Tim Douglas put up 12 points, and Aaron Moore netted 10 points before fouling out.

Portland State shot an impressive 46.4 percent from the field in the first half, but Boise State was even better at 52 percent, as the Broncos carried a 34-30 lead into intermission.

The Broncos opened up the second half on a 20-9 run to pull away, and they led by as many as 26 down the stretch.

Boise State overcame a lackluster 3-point shooting night (4-of-16) by going 22-of-25 from the free-throw line. It was also aided by winning the turnover battle, 15-11.
