Recap: Boise State vs. San Jose St

Boise, ID (SportsNetwork.com) - Derrick Marks scored 19 points and Ryan Watkins finished with a double-double to lead the Boise State Broncos to a 76-55 victory over the San Jose State Spartans in a Mountain West Conference duel at Taco Bell Arena.

Watkins tallied 18 points and 16 rebounds for Boise State (14-5, 4-3 MWC), which has won three of its last four. Mikey Thompson added 11 points and Anthony Drmic came through with 10.

Jalen James produced 12 points and Devante Wilson and Chris Cunningham chipped in 10 apiece for Boise State (6-14, 0-8), which lost its eighth straight.

In the first half Boise State shot 47.4 percent from the floor, including a 7-of-15 performance from beyond the arc, to take a 48-26 lead at intermission. San Jose State only got 38.1 percent of its first half field goal tries to fall.

Although they only made good on 37 percent from the floor in the second half, the Broncos held the Spartans to eight field goals to easily hold on for the win.

Boise State had a 32-18 scoring edge in the paint and an 11-2 advantage in points off turnovers.
