Recap: Colorado State vs. Weber State

Fort Collins, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - J.J. Avila netted a career-high 30 points to lead the Colorado State Rams to an 88-67 victory over the Weber State Wildcats at Moby Arena.

Avila also added seven rebounds, six assists and two steals for Colorado State (2-1). Daniel Bejarano stuffed the stat sheet as well with 18 points, nine rebounds and six assists, while Joe De Ciman (11 points) and Gerson Santo (10 points) were also effective.

For Weber State (0-2), Jeremy Senglin led the way with 14 points, while Davion Berry and Joel Bolomboy had 12 points apiece.

Colorado State opened up a 41-27 lead at the break after shooting 44.4 percent from the field in the first half. Weber State made good on just 35.0 percent of its field goal tries in the frame.

The Rams heated up after halftime, making more than 62 percent of their field goal attempts, and their advantage never dipped below 11 points.

Weber State committed 13 turnovers, while Colorado State coughed the ball up just four times.
