Recap: Colorado State vs. UNLV

Fort Collins, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - Daniel Bejarano registered a double- double with 24 points and 10 rebounds as he guided the Colorado State Rams to a convincing 75-57 win over the UNLV Runnin' Rebels in Mountain West Conference action at Moby Arena.

Bejarano, who was benched after only three minutes of play in the last game for the Rams (13-10, 4-6 MWC), handed out seven assists as the team snapped a three-game slide. Also scoring in double figures for CSU were Jon Octeus and Carlton Hurst with 11 points apiece, followed by JJ Avila with 10.

The Runnin' Rebels (15-8, 6-4), who had a four-game win streak snapped, were led by Khem Birch with 15 points and a game-high 12 rebounds, followed by Deville Smith with 13 points in the losing cause.

UNLV led by a basket early in the meeting, but the squad ended up converting just 32.4 percent from the floor through the first 20 minutes of action, leaving the visitors with a 41-28 deficit at the break.

After converting 48.4 percent from the field in the first half, the Rams boosted their accuracy to 52.6 percent following intermission, en route to the comfortable 18-point win.

In addition to being held to just 35.6 percent shooting from the field, the Runnin' Rebels were also outscored at the free-throw line by an 18-8 margin.
