Recap: Nevada vs. Chattanooga

Reno, NV (SportsNetwork.com) - Deonte Burton knocked down a 3-pointer at the buzzer in order to give the Nevada Wolf Pack a thrilling 83-81 win over the Chattanooga Mocs as part of the Las Vegas Invitational.

Burton finished with a game-high 28 points, shooting 9-of-14 from the floor and 8-of-13 at the free-throw line for the Wolf Pack (3-2) as they won for the third time in the last four outings. Michael Perez accounted for 12 points, Jerry Evans 11 and Marqueze Coleman 10 points in the triumph.

The Mocs (2-3) were paced by Z. Mason who tallied 24 points and cleared a game-high eight rebounds, while Greg Pryor and Gee McGhee contributed 19 and 12 points, respectively, and both handed out five assists.

Shooting 56.0 percent from the floor in the first half, Chattanooga pulled out to a 41-39 lead at intermission.

The Wolf Pack rebounded in the second half with 57.1 percent from the field and 10-of-15 shooting at the free-throw line, getting the team close enough for Burton to play the hero.

The Mocs came up on the losing side despite shooting an even 50.0 percent from the field and suffering just 11 turnovers, compared to 14 miscues for the hosts.
