Recap: San Jose St vs. Nevada

San Jose, CA ( - Deonte Burton netted 18 points to lead the Nevada Wolf Pack to a 62-50 triumph over the San Jose State Spartans on Wednesday.

AJ West added 15 points and nine rebounds, while Cole Huff supplied eight points and 10 boards for the Wolf Pack (6-8, 1-0 MWC), who have won two of their last three games.

Devante Wilson scored 18 points to pace San Jose State (6-7, 0-1), which had a four-game win streak halted.

Nevada trailed 26-25 at the break, but used an 18-3 surge over the middle stages of the second half to take control of the contest.

West capped the spurt with a three-point play to make it 49-38 Nevada with 8:13 to play.

San Jose State failed to get closer than eight the rest of the way.
