Recap: Nevada vs. Utah State

Reno, NV (SportsNetwork.com) - Paced by 16 points from Cole Huff, the Nevada Wolf Pack defeated the Utah State Aggies, 62-54, in a Mountain West Conference matchup at Lawlor Events Center.

Deonte Burton scored 14 points with five assists for the Wolf Pack (9-8, 4-0 MWC). AJ West added 11 points while Jerry Evans, Jr. had eight rebounds in Nevada's fourth consecutive victory.

Jarred Shaw put up 19 points for the Aggies (11-4, 1-2). Kyle Davis tallied nine points and nine boards, while TeNale Roland dished out six assists.

Nevada shot 48.3 percent from the floor, including 3-of-10 from 3-point range in the first half and held a 32-28 lead at the break. Utah State only made 34.5 percent of its field goal attempts, including 2-of-7 from beyond the arc.

The Wolf Pack shot 34.6 percent from the field in the second period, which was good enough to carry them to victory. The Aggies only made 28.9 percent of their field goal tries with misses on all nine of their attempts from 3- point range.

Despite the loss, Utah State held a 48-35 rebounding advantage.
