Recap: Utah State vs. Troy

Logan, UT (SportsNetwork.com) - Danny Berger scored 17 points off the bench to lead the Utah State Aggies to a 71-50 rout of the Troy Trojans as part of the Basketball Travelers Classic at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum

Jalen Moore added 11 points as the only other double-figure scorer for Utah State (9-2), though 10 different players recorded at least one field goal.

Antoine Myers paced Troy (4-7) with 14 points and seven rebounds. Kevin Thomas chipped in 10 points.

The Aggies rolled into halftime, leading 38-16, after shooting 57.7 percent from the floor while holding the Trojans to just four field goals in the opening period.

Even though Troy improved to 40 percent shooting in the second half, it was not enough to catch Utah State, which connected on 52.2 percent from the field after the break, including 5-of-7 from beyond the arc.

Troy actually had the edge in rebounds (30-29). Utah State owned a 24-6 scoring advantage from 3-point range and had 20 assists to just seven from the Trojans.
