Recap: Wyoming vs. South Dakota

Laramie, WY (SportsNetwork.com) - Riley Grabau scored a game-high 20 points as the Wyoming Cowboys posted a 70-53 win over the South Dakota Coyotes in non- conference play at Arena Auditorium.

Jerron Granberry and Derek Cooke both added 12 points for the Cowboys (4-1), the latter also pulling down a game-high 11 rebounds as they won their third straight outing.

The Coyotes (0-3) were paced by Brandon Bos with 12 points and Tavian Pomlee 10 in just 13 minutes off the bench. Trevor Gruis pitched in with eight points and 10 boards before fouling out.

South Dakota led by a single point early on, but the team shot just 34.6 percent from the floor and 3-of-13 behind the 3-point line in the first half, en route to a 40-27 deficit at the break.

In the second half the Pokes connected on 52.9 percent from the field and held the visitors to just 29.7 percent, as the hosts grabbed the 17-point win.

The Coyotes shot just 6-of-24 out on the perimeter, compared to 9-of-17 for Wyoming.
