Recap: Tulsa vs. Cal State Fullerton

Tulsa, OK (SportsNetwork.com) - Rashad Smith, James Woodard and D'Andre Wright each scored 12 points, as the Tulsa Golden Hurricane notched a 73-57 win over the Cal State Fullerton Titans in a non-conference matchup at the Reynolds Center.

Shaquille Harrison added 11 points for the Golden Hurricane (5-9), who opened a three-game homestand by winning their fourth straight at the Reynolds Center.

The Titans (5-9) closed out their non-conference schedule with another loss, despite a game-high 20 points from Michael Williams and 15 off the bench from Josh Gentry.

Tulsa scored the first eight points of the game and was leading 23-7 with just under nine minutes to play until halftime. However, Fullerton put together a 12-0 run late in the period and went into the break trailing by only a 32-28 margin.

But that momentum did not carry over to the second half, as the Titans shot just 34.5 percent from the floor after halftime while Tulsa shot 53.8 percent to seal the win.

The Golden Hurricane committed only eight turnovers for the game as they enjoyed a key 20-6 edge in points off turnovers.
