Recap: Cal State Fullerton vs. UC Santa Barbara

Fullerton, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Alex Harris scored 22 points as the Cal State Fullerton Titans held on for a 74-72 win over the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos in Big West Conference play at Titan Gym.

Michael Williams added 19 points and eight assists for the Titans (7-12, 2-3 Big West), followed by Marquis Horne and Josh Gentry with 13 and 10 points, respectively, as the team snapped a three-game slide.

UCSB (12-6, 3-2) was led by Alan Williams who tallied a game-high 26 points and nine rebounds, while Michael Bryson added 16 points and Kyle Boswell 11, the defeat halting a three-game win streak. Zalmico Harmon handed out a game- high 10 assists.

The Gauchos converted a total of just seven field goals in the first half, shooting 1-of-7 behind the 3-point line, leaving the visitors with a 30-21 deficit at the break.

The second half was a much different story for the Gauchos however, as the team made good on 58.1 percent from the floor, including 6-of-14 beyond the arc, but still the team came up short in the end.

Fullerton, which shot an even 50 percent from the floor on the night, got away with a mere three offensive rebounds.
