Recap: Montana State vs. CS-Northridge

Bozeman, MT (SportsNetwork.com) - Marcus Colbert scored 17 points and handed out six assists as the Montana State Bobcats registered a 77-62 win over the Cal State Northridge Matadors in non-conference action at Worthington Arena.

Stephan Holm posted 12 points for the Bobcats (2-4), followed by Terrell Brown and Paul Egwuonwu with 11 points apiece.

Leading the way for the Matadors (3-4) was Stephan Hicks with a game-high 23 points and 10 rebounds, while Josh Greene and Aaron Parks accounted for 10 points each in the losing cause.

In addition to forcing 12 turnovers in the first half, MSU also converted 8- of-18 shooting behind the 3-point line, en route to a 37-30 advantage at the break.

Montana State pulled away in the second half as it connected on 57.9 percent from the floor and 14-of-18 at the charity stripe.

The Bobcats finished the night shooting not only 52.1 percent from the floor but also 46.2 percent (12-of-26) on the perimeter. The hosts also forced 18 turnovers and traded them in for 25 points.
