Recap: Chattanooga vs. Grand Canyon

Chattanooga, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - Z. Mason led four players in double figures with 16 points as the Chattanooga Mocs topped the Grand Canyon Antelopes as part of the Dr. Pepper Classic at McKenzie Arena.

Mason also collected 11 rebounds for Chattanooga (5-8), which takes on Maine in Monday's finale. Ronrico White added 11 points off the bench and Lance Stokes and Martynas Bareika each tacked on 10.

Killian Larson finished with 22 points and 13 rebounds and Daniel Alexander (12 points, 10 rebounds) also had a double-double for Grand Canyon (6-7), which battles Middle Tennessee on Monday. Jerome Garrison chipped in 13 points as well.

Chattanooga managed to take a 36-32 lead at halftime buy holding Grand Canyon to just 34.5 percent shooting.

After the break the Mocs knocked down 42.9 percent from the field, which was enough to hold off the Antelopes, who fell below 40 percent shooting yet again.

The Mocs enjoyed a 36-26 scoring advantage in the paint. They also outscored Grand Canyon, 30-7, off the bench.
