Riverside, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Christian Standhardinger erupted for 27 points and 13 rebounds as he helped guide the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors to an 87-76 win over the UC Riverside Highlanders in a Big West Conference battle at SRC Arena.

Garrett Nevels accounted for 20 points and Brandon Spearman 11, while Keith Shamburger produced a double-double as well with 11 points and 10 assists for the Rainbow Warriors (17-7, 6-4 Big West) as they registered a second straight win and the third in the last four outings.

The Highlanders (8-16, 3-7) were paced by Chris Patton who tallied 21 points, Taylor Johns with 19 points, nine rebounds and six blocked shots, followed by Steven Thornton with 16 points as the team suffered a second consecutive setback.

Hawaii scored the first points of the night and never looked back, converting an impressive 54.2 percent from the floor in the first half, while also limiting the hosts to just 37.0 percent shooting, en route to a 36-30 advantage at the break.

In the second half the visitors again shot the ball well from the field (.533), not to mention 15-of-20 at the charity stripe in order to secure a rare win on the mainland.

UCR, which trailed by as many as 18 with just under six minutes to play in the second half, shot only 5-of-16 on the perimeter.
