Sam Finely scored a game-high 20 points for UC Riverside (4-8), which also got 12 points and five assists from Nick Gruninger and 11 points from Chris Patton.

UC Riverside came out firing and nailed 52 percent of its shots in the second half, while forcing nine turnovers. The Highlanders managed to knot the game at 67-67 with 29 seconds to play but Garrity calmly sank his free-throws on the other end and a last second attempt from UC Riverside was off the mark.
