Recap: East Carolina vs. Louisiana Tech

Greenville, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - Caleb White scored a game-high 21 points, leading four players in double figures, as the East Carolina Pirates posted a 75-68 win over the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs in Conference USA action at Minges Coliseum.

Also scoring in double digits for the Pirates (14-13, 3-9 C-USA), as they snapped a two-game slide, were Prince Williams with 15 points, to go along with eight assists, and both Akeem Richmond and Paris Campbell with 14 points. Coming up a point shy of a double-double was Michael Zangari who cleared a game-high 15 rebounds in the victory.

The Bulldogs (21-6, 9-3) were paced by Kenyon McNeail with 20 points off the bench, followed by Alex Hamilton with 14, Jaron Johnson 11 points and Chris Anderson 10 and seven boards before fouling out. Kenneth Smith accounted for a game-high nine assists for a Louisiana Tech squad that had a four-game win streak come to an end.

The visitors led by three points early in the meeting, but the Bulldogs converted a total of just nine field goals in the first half and shot a mere 2-of-12 behind the 3-point line, en route to a 36-27 deficit at the break.

After hitting on only 36.0 percent from the field through the first 20 minutes of action, Louisiana Tech connected on 38.5 percent after intermission, sending the squad to a seven-point defeat.

East Carolina, which led by as many as 13 in the second half, pulled out the victory despite being outscored in the paint by a 32-22 margin.
