Recap: Texas State vs. Ark-Little Rock

San Marcos, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Will Neighbour paced all scorers with 20 points to lead to Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans past the Texas State Bobcats, 63-59, in the Sun Belt Conference opener for each team at Oscar Strahan Coliseum.

Neighbour shot just 4-of-15 from the field but was 11-of-13 from the free- throw line for UALR (6-7, 1-0 Sun Belt), which has won three of four. Josh Hagins came off the bench to net 19 for the visitors.

Corey Stern, Emani Gant and Phil Hawkins all scored 11 points for Texas State (4-10, 0-1), while Joel Wright chipped in 10 points.

In a low-scoring first half, Texas State outshot UALR from the field, 33.3 percent to 25.9 percent, to take a 24-21 lead at intermission.

After the teams exchanged a few leads in the early part of the second stanza, the Trojans used a 9-0 run to grab a 50-44 lead with 8:18 remaining. The Bobcats brought their deficit to one on several occasions but could never again regain the advantage. UALR sealed its fate by shooting 4-of-4 at the free-throw line in the final six seconds.

UALR won the rebounding battle, 33-25.
