Recap: ULM vs. Ark-Little Rock

Monroe, LA (SportsNetwork.com) - Tylor Ongwae poured in a game-high 25 points, as the ULM Warhawks made easy work of the Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans, 65-49, in a Sun Belt Conference bout at Fant-Ewing Coliseum.

Ongwae shot 8-of-17 from the floor and added five steals for ULM (8-12, 5-7 Sun Belt), which snapped a three-game losing streak. Jayon James filled up the stat sheet with 12 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists, five blocks and three steals, and RJ McCray came off the bench to score 12 as well.

For UALR (12-13, 7-6), losers of five straight, Ben Dillard netted 14 points and James White tallied a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds.

Although ULM shot just 33.3 percent from the field in the first half, it carried a 24-13 lead into intermission by holding UALR to a lowly 23.1 percent shooting in the opening 20 minutes.

The Trojans brought their deficit to just six with 12 minutes to play in the second half, but the Warhawks put the game away by ripping off a 10-0 run.

Neither team shot well from 3-point range, with ULM shooting just 5-of-19 and UALR even worse at 3-of-13.
