Recap: Ark-Little Rock vs. Arkansas State

Little Rock, AR (SportsNetwork.com) - James White tallied 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting, adding eight rebounds, as the Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans defeated the Arkansas State Red Wolves, 74-67, in a Sun Belt Conference tilt at the Jack Stephens Center.

Ben Dillard and Mareik Isom each had 11 points for the Trojans (14-15, 9-8 SBC), who have won two consecutive games. DeVonte Smith chipped in 10 points as Josh Hagins added 10 assists, although the latter did shoot only 1-of-9 from the floor.

Cameron Golden scored 15 points for the Red Wolves (17-10, 9-6), who had a three-game winning streak snapped. Brandon Reed logged 13 points and Kendrick Washington registered 11.

ASU shot 47.8 percent from the field in the opening frame, including 6-of-11 from 3-point range, as it led 32-28 at intermission. UALR made 38.7 percent of its field goal attempts in the period.

The Trojans improved in the second half as they connected on 56 percent of their field goal tries and went 16-of-16 from the free-throw line. With 5:11 remaining, White hit a jumper to put UALR up 57-56 and from there the Trojans went on a 17-11 run to close out the game and secure a victory.

UALR did a better job on the glass, as it outrebounded Arkansas State 35-27.
