Recap: TX-San Antonio vs. Fla Atlantic

San Antonio, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Devon Agusi scored 23 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the field, as the Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners easily defeated the Florida Atlantic Owls, 66-56, in a Conference USA tilt at the UTSA Convocation Center.

Jordan Sims had 14 points and Edrico McGregor cleared 10 rebounds for the Roadrunners (8-16, 4-7 C-USA), who snapped a four game losing skid.

Pablo Bertone logged 16 points and six rebounds for the Owls (10-16, 5-6), Marquan Botley finished with 12 points and Jackson Trapp netted 11.

UTSA shot just 39.3 percent from the field in the first period but it still led 28-16 at halftime. FAU made just 21.2 percent of its field goal attempts, including 1-of-13 from 3-point range.

The Roadrunners connected on 47.6 percent of their field goal tries in the second frame and went 17-of-25 from the free-throw line. With just over a minute and a half remaining, UTSA went on a 12-6 run to seal its fate.

UTSA held a 47-39 rebounding advantage, which helped mask a game-high 16 turnovers.
