Recap: ULM vs. Louisiana Tech

Monroe, LA (SportsNetwork.com) - Alex Hamilton produced 17 points and nine rebounds as the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs filed an 83-61 win over the ULM Warhawks in non-conference play at Fant-Ewing Coliseum.

Hamilton, who shot 8-of-11 from the floor, added five assists and a couple of steals for the Bulldogs (10-3) as they won for the fourth time in the last five outings. Cordarius Johnson and Jaron Johnson both came off the bench to tally 12 points, while Michale Kyser chipped in 10, to go along with six rebounds and four blocks.

The Warhawks (3-4), losers of three straight, were paced by Tylor Ongwae with a game-high 20 points, while Jayon James pitched in with 14 and Amos Olatayo 11 points in the setback.

Louisiana Tech scored the first points of the meeting and never looked back, shooting an impressive 54.5 percent from the field in the first half, including 6-of-12 behind the 3-point line, in order to post a 48-30 advantage at the break.

In the second half the Bulldogs continued to shoot the ball well at a 60.9 percent clip, en route to the lopsided victory on the road.

Defensively, the visitors held ULM to just 38.7 percent accuracy from the field and forced 17 turnovers.
