Recap: North Texas vs. Old Dominion

Denton, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Ambrose Mosley finished with a game-high 21 points as the Old Dominion Monarchs claimed a 72-62 road victory over the North Texas Mean Green in a Conference USA tilt at the Super Pit.

Mosley nailed 5-of-7 from 3-point range and 6-of-6 at the free-throw line, while Aaron Bacote added 20 points for Old Dominion (12-13, 6-4 C-USA). Keenan Palmore and Dimitri Batten each tallied 11 points.

Alzee Williams and Chris Jones netted 13 points apiece for North Texas (11-13, 2-8), which has lost four straight. Vertrail Vaughns chipped in 12 points, Maurice Aniefiok had 10 and Colin Voss cleared 10 boards.

Old Dominion led 35-32 at the break after shooting 46.2 percent from the floor, including 5-of-8 from beyond the arc, in the first half. North Texas connected on just 34.5 percent from the field in the frame.

The Monarchs continued to shoot well from 3-point range in the second half, sinking 6-of-11 from the perimeter as part of a 42.9 percent overall shooting effort. The Mean Green had only six total field goals in the final 20 minutes.

Old Dominion had an 18-12 scoring advantage off of turnovers.
