Recap: Old Dominion vs. Texas-El Paso

Norfolk, VA (SportsNetwork.com) - John Bohannon notched 19 points as the Texas-El Paso Miners routed the Old Dominion Monarchs, 63-49, in a Conference USA matchup at the Ted Constant Center.

Bohannon shot 6-of-7 from the field for the Miners (18-6, 8-1 C-USA), who have won eight in a row. Julian Washburn netted 18 points to supply another large part of the offense.

Keenan Palmore and Ambrose Mosley both scored eight points for the Monarchs (11-13, 5-4), who have lost three of their last four.

The Monarchs struggled in the first half, shooting just 30.4 percent from the floor. The Miners converted at 57.9 percent and got off to a 35-25 advantage at halftime.

The second half was even worse for ODU, who hit a mere 20.8 percent, just five field goals. Shooting 40 percent, UTEP led by as many as 19 points, with 7:42 to play.

The Miners outscored the hosts 28-16 in the paint and held ODU to a mere 3- of-19 shooting behind the 3-point line on the night.
