Recap: ULM vs. Troy

Monroe, LA (SportsNetwork.com) - Hunter Williams netted 24 points and hit 6- of-10 from 3-point range as the Troy Trojans easily handled the Louisiana- Monroe Warhawks, 61-46, in a Sun Belt Conference tilt at Fant-Ewing Coliseum.

Williams added four rebounds and four assists for Troy (10-18, 5-11 SBC). Tevin Calhoun chipped in 15 points, and Antoine Myers grabbed a team-high seven rebounds in the win, which ended a three-game losing streak for the Trojans.

Nick Coppola was the only player to net a double-digit point total for ULM (9-15, 6-10), scoring 10 points. Jayon James pulled down a team-best nine rebounds in the loss. The Warhawks have dropped three of their past four games.

Troy shot 44.8 percent from the floor in the first half, hitting 4-of-12 from 3-point range. The Trojans took a commanding 38-18 lead into the intermission after ULM shot just 31.8 percent in the frame, including just 1-of-9 from deep.

The Trojans dropped their shooting accuracy down to 32 percent in the second half, but they did connect on 5-of-13 from beyond the arc. The Warhawks could only shave five points off the Trojans' first-half lead, as ULM hit 35.7 percent from the field and 4-of-10 from distance.

Troy won the battle in points off turnovers, 16-7, and in second chance points, 15-8. ULM had the edge in bench points, 17-9.
