Recap: Bowling Green vs. Western Ky

Bowling Green, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - Spencer Parker netted 20 points to lead the Bowling Green Falcons to a 74-62 victory over the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers in non-conference action at the Stroh Center.

Richaun Holmes added 18 points for Bowling Green (3-4). Craig Sealey had 13 points and eight rebounds off the bench and Anthony Henderson hit 3-of-5 from 3-point range and finished with 12 points.

T.J. Price only connected on 7-of-23 shots from the field but hit five from beyond the arc and tallied 24 points for Western Kentucky (5-2). Ben Lawson and George Fant each added 11 points.

The first half was a tight affair with Bowling Green clinging to a 36-34 lead at the break. The Falcons dropped in 48.1 percent of their field goal tries while the Hilltoppers shot at a 44.8 percent clip in the period.

After the break the Falcons cooled to 36.8 percent shooting but by sinking 21- of-27 free-throw attempts and holding the Hilltoppers to just 25 percent from the floor, they were able to pull away.

Both teams struggled from the free-throw line with Bowling Green successful on 29-of-42 attempts while Western Kentucky was below 50 percent from the foul line (12-of-27).
