Recap: Tulsa vs. Tulane

Tulsa, OK (SportsNetwork.com) - Shaquille Harrison scored 23 points and had six assists as the Tulsa Golden Hurricane routed the Tulane Green Wave, 97-71, in a Conference USA contest at the Reynolds Center.

D'Andre Wright scored 18 points and had eight boards in only 25 minutes for Tulsa (6-9, 1-0 C-USA). Lew Evans added 14 points while Tim Peete chipped in 12. James Woodard scored 11 points.

Louis Dabney scored 17 points for the Green Wave (8-8, 0-1). Jonathan Stark added 14 points while Tre Drye had 13. Cameron Reynolds added 10 points.

Tulsa shot an outstanding 66.7 percent from the field including 9-of-14 from 3-point range in the first half. The Golden Hurricane led 60-32 at the break. Tulane made 47.8 percent of its field goal attempts, including 3-of-6 from beyond the arc.

The Golden Hurricane made 44 percent of their field goal tries in the second period of play to ride out an easy win.

The home team outdid Tulane on the glass by outrebounding the Green Wave 34-24. Tulane never led or held a share of the lead.
