Recap: UAB vs. Ga Southern

Birmingham, AL (SportsNetwork.com) - Chad Frazier scored a game-high 19 points as the UAB Blazers dismissed the Georgia Southern Eagles, 84-62, in non- conference action at Bartow Arena.

Frazier shot 6-of-8 from the field and 5-of-5 from the foul line for UAB (8-2) while also handing out six assists. Jordan Swing stuffed the stat sheet with 12 points, five rebounds, five assists and four steals, while Robert Williams added 11 points for the home team.

For Georgia Southern (5-6), Curtis Desmond was the only player to score in double figures with 13 points, although he did so on just 4-of-13 from the field.

The Blazers ran out to a commanding 41-21 lead at intermission after shooting 12-of-28 from the field and 14-of-17 at the foul line in the first half. Georgia Southern failed to keep pace by making good on only 9-of-34 from the field.

UAB held on to its comfortable advantage throughout the second half, as it improved its field goal percentage to .526 over the final 20 minutes.

The Eagles shot just 32.4 percent from the field on the night, including only 4-of-21 from 3-point range.
