Recap: Austin Peay vs. SE Missouri St

Clarksville, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - Chris Horton scored 21 points, nabbed 12 rebounds and blocked three shots for the Austin Peay Governors in their 80-74 win over the Southeast Missouri Redhawks in an Ohio Valley Conference bout at the Dunn Center.

Travis Betran added 16 points for the Governors (8-8, 2-0 OVC) who are on a three-game win streak. Will Triggs contributed 14 points and Zavion Williams added 12. Damarius Smith played all 40 minutes and scored eight points on 3- of-5 shooting from the field, adding 10 assists, five rebounds, two blocks and a steal with five turnovers.

The Redhawks (8-7, 0-2 OVC) have now lost their last three games. They were led by Jarekious Bradley, who fouled out with 1:58 remaining in the game. Bradley scored 30 points on 11-of-19 shooting from the field and 6-of-10 from behind the arc. Reserve Tyler Stone scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.

The Redhawks led 38-33 at the half behind 17 points from Bradley. The Governors were able to close a once 15-point deficit to five at the break.

In the final frame, the Governors were able to gain a substantial edge after a 15-0 run gave them a 15-point lead. The Governors increased their field-goal percentage from 46.4 percent in the first half to 58.3 percent in the second. Contrarily, the Redhawks percentage dropped from 54.8 percent in the first to 44.4 percent in the second.

The Governors doubled up the Redhawks in points off turnovers, 28-14, forcing 18 Redhawks giveaways.
