Recap: Fordham vs. Dayton

Bronx, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Devin Oliver logged 16 points on 6-of-7 shooting and nine rebounds as the Dayton Flyers easily beat the Fordham Rams 80-68 in an Atlantic 10 Conference contest at Rose Hill Gym.

Vee Sanford added 16 points for the Flyers (13-4, 1-1 A-10). Khari Price scored 15 points while Dyshawn Pierre chipped in 10.

Branden Frazier scored 20 points for the Rams (7-9, 0-3), as they lost their fifth straight game. Ryan Rhoomes registered a double-double with 15 points and 15 boards and Jon Severe scored 13 points.

Dayton drained 61.5 percent of its field goal attempts in the first half as the Flyers claimed a slim 39-36 halftime lead. Fordham made 37 percent of its shots from the floor but connected on 14-of-17 from the free-throw line to keep the game close.

The Flyers put the Rams away by shooting 52.1 percent from the field, including 6-of-9 from 3-point range, in the second. Fordham shot 32.1 percent on field goal tries and could not keep up.

Dayton played better inside as it outscored Fordham 36-24 in the paint.
