Recap: George Mason vs. Dayton

Fairfax, VA (SportsNetwork.com) - Jordan Sibert scored 19 points on 8-of-11 shooting as the Dayton Flyers dominated the George Mason Patriots, 84-67, in an Atlantic 10 tilt at the Patriot Center.

Vee Sanford tallied 16 points for the Flyers (15-8, 3-5 A-10) as they won their second consecutive game. Matt Kavanaugh added 14 points and six rebounds.

Sherrod Wright and Bryon Allen each scored in double figures with 18 and 16 points, respectively, for the Patriots (7-15, 0-8), as they extended their losing streak to nine. Corey Edwards chipped in 10 points while Erik Copes brought down nine rebounds.

Dayton shot 46.4 percent from the field in the first period and led 40-25 at halftime. George Mason struggled, hitting just 36.4 percent of its field goal attempts. Dayton closed the frame on a 14-3 run.

The Flyers drained 65.2 percent of their field goal tries in the second half as they coasted to the win, leading by as many as 27 at one point.

Dayton dominated play inside as it outscored the Patriots 38-22 in the paint.

JR Motorsports set for Truck Series debut at Martinsville
