Recap: Dayton vs. La Salle

Dayton, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - Jordan Sibert scored 17 points as the Dayton Flyers claimed a 65-53 victory over the La Salle Explorers in an Atlantic 10 Conference matchup at UD Arena.

Matt Kavanaugh added 16 points while Devin Oliver registered a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds for the Flyers (18-8, 6-5 A-10), who have won five consecutive games.

Jerrell Wright had 15 points on 5-of-6 shooting for the Explorers (12-13, 4-7), who have extended their losing streak to four games. Tyreek Duren chipped in 13 points as Steve Zack cleared 10 boards.

Dayton made 36.7 percent of its shots from the field in the first period, as it led 27-21 at the break. La Salle shot 30.4 percent on its field goal tries and turned the ball over 13 times.

The Flyers connected on 46.4 percent of their field goal attempts in the second half, including 4-of-6 from 3-point range, to hold off the Explorers.

Dayton bested La Salle in points off turnovers, 22-9.
