Recap: Duquesne vs. La Salle

Pittsburgh, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Steve Zack logged a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds, as the La Salle Explorers knocked off the Duquesne Dukes, 75-56, at the Palumbo Center in an Atlantic 10 Conference matchup.

Tyreek Duren notched a game-high 23 points for the Explorers (9-6, 2-0 A-10), who have won three in a row. Tyrone Garland followed with 17 points.

Dominique McKoy recorded a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds for the Dukes (8-6, 1-1), whose five-game winning streak came to an end. Derrick Colter and Ovie Soko both added 12 points.

Both teams shot 46.4 percent from the field in the first half of play, but the Explorers sank 5-of-13 from the perimeter to take a 35-30 lead at halftime.

In the second half, the Explorers distanced themselves from their opponent on the heels of a .609 field goal percentage. At the other end, the Dukes struggled mightily, shooting just 24 percent. La Salle's lead was as great as 21 with just over two minutes left.

The Explorers dominated the paint, outrebounding their opponent, 34-26, and outscoring them, 30-22.
