Brent Arrington contributed 15 points, Drew Kelley 12 and Chad Posthumus 10 points and eight rebounds for the Eagles (14-8, 5-2 OVC) as they won for the third time in the last four outings.

Tennessee State (2-21, 1-8), which is all alone at the bottom of the East Division of the OVC, was paced by Patrick Miller who scored a game-high 36 points, shooting 12-of-24 from the floor, while Chaed Wellian accounted for 11 points on 3-of-4 shooting behind the 3-point line. TSU has now dropped seven straight and 11 of the last 12 decisions.

Both squads shot 42.9 percent from the field in the first half and also converted seven attempts at the free-throw line, but MSU hit one more 3- pointer and three extra field goals overall, providing the visitors with a 34-27 advantage at the break.

In the second half the Eagles converted a mere seven field goals, compared to 15 for the hosts, with Miller connecting on a pair of 3-pointers for TSU in the final 29 seconds in order to knot the score at 65-65 and send the meeting into overtime.

During the extra session, Warner took over for Morehead State and guided the visitors to the win.
