Recap: Tenn Tech vs. Morehead State

Cookeville, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - Drew Kelly netted a game-high 18 points as the Morehead State Eagles routed the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles, 79-53, in Ohio Valley Conference play at the Eblen Center.

Greg Dotson tallied 14 points for the Eagles (18-9, 9-3 OVC), who have won four in a row. Chad Posthumus added 10 points in the victory.

Jeremiah Samarrippas scored 11 points for the Golden Eagles (13-14, 6-6), who fell after winning their previous three games. Dennis Ogbe followed with 10 points.

The Eagles shot an even 50 percent from the field in the first half while the Golden Eagles shot only 36.4 percent and trailed, 34-24, at halftime.

Tennessee Tech dropped to just 33.3 percent from the floor in the second half. Meanwhile, Morehead State improved to 60 percent, running away on the scoreboard.

The Eagles outscored the hosts, 46-30, in the paint and 27-11 in bench points in lopsided contest.
