Recap: Buffalo vs. Ball State

Buffalo, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Javon McCrea tallied 19 points, 14 rebounds and three blocks, as the Buffalo Bulls made easy work of the Ball State Cardinals, 69-48, in Mid-American Conference action at Alumni Arena.

McCrea shot 6-of-10 from the field and 7-of-10 at the free-throw line for Buffalo (12-7, 6-3 MAC), which has won three of four. Jarod Oldham posted 17 points and five assists for the hosts, while Will Regan added 13 points.

For Ball State (4-16, 1-8), losers of four straight and eight of nine, Chris Bond netted 15 points, Zavier Turner scored 11 and Majok Majok registered eight points and 11 boards.

Buffalo shot a lowly 31 percent from the field in the first half, but Ball State was even worse at 29.6 percent. The Bulls went into intermission with a 26-19 lead.

The Bulls improved their field goal shooting to 58.8 percent in the second stanza, as they pulled away for the 21-point victory.

The Cardinals shot just 35.2 percent from the field on the evening and were outscored at the free-throw line, 26-6.
