Recap: Saint Louis vs. SE Missouri St

St. Louis, MO (Sports Network) - Grandy Glaze tallied a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds, as the Saint Louis Billikens used a dominating second half to run past the Southeast Missouri State Redhawks, 87-64, in the season opener at Chaifetz Arena.

Glaze was a perfect 7-of-7 from the field for Saint Louis (1-0), while Dwayne Evans also scored 16 points in the triumph. Jordair Jett (15 points) and Rob Loe (13 points) each handed out four assists.

Jarekious Bradley shined in his first game for SEMO (0-1), tallying 22 points, 12 rebounds, four steals and two blocks. Antonius Cleveland netted 14 points and Darrian Gray scored 12 points, although the duo combined to shoot just 2- of-9 from 3-point range.

Saint Louis ran out to a 10-point lead midway through the first half, but SEMO ended the stanza on a 16-5 run to take a 35-34 advantage into the halftime locker room.

The Billikens took control early in the second half with a 21-2 run and never looked back from there. After shooting just 40 percent from the field in the opening 20 minutes, Saint Louis improved to 65.5 percent after intermission.

In addition to shooting just 37.5 percent from the field on the night, SEMO also committed 19 turnovers, which turned into 22 points for Saint Louis.
