Bronx, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Maurice Creek led the way with 27 points as the George Washington Colonials downed the Manhattan Jaspers, 80-74, in a non- league tilt at Draddy Gymnasium

For the Colonials (3-0), Isaiah Armwood added 20 points and Kevin Larsen posted a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

George Beamon scored a game-high 34 points and added nine rebounds for the Jaspers (2-1) and was the only play for Manhattan to score in double figures.

The Jaspers shot 53.6 percent from the floor in the first half, running out to a 13-point lead midway through the period as well as a 39-30 lead at halftime. The Colonials were held to 40.7 percent from the field in the first.

Manhattan struggled after intermission, making only 27.6 percent of its field goal attempts, including just 5-of-17 from beyond the arc. The Colonials used a 30-12 run to open the second half to turn a nine-point halftime deficit into a nine-point lead midway through the second half.
