Edwardsville, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - Rozell Nunn scored 21 points and grabbed eight rebounds as the SIU Edwardsville Cougars outlasted the Southeast Missouri State Redhawks for a 93-88 victory in an Ohio Valley Conference thriller at the Vadalabene Center.

Kris Davis added 16 points for SIUE (9-15, 5-5 OVC). Donivine Stewart recorded a double-double with 11 points and 11 assists while Keaton Jackson and Christian Salecich both provided a spark off the bench. Jackson tallied 16 points including a game-tying layup at the end of regulation and Salecich finished 4-of-9 from 3-point range en route to 14 points.

The Redhawks (12-12, 3-7) came up short despite a tremendous performance by Tyler Stone, who hit on 15-of-19 field goal attempts for a career-high 37 points. Stone also pulled down eight boards for Southeast Missouri, which received a double-double of 10 points and 10 assists courtesy of Lucas Nutt. Josh Langford scored 13 points and Jarekious Bradley had 12 points.

Southeast Missouri shot an even 50 percent from the floor but connected on only 3-of-13 tries from beyond the arc in the first half. Although the Cougars managed to make only 41.9 percent of their shots from the floor, they sank 6- of-13 attempts from 3-point range in the first stanza to keep pace. The contest went into the intermission tied at 36 after both sides grabbed 16 total rebounds in the opening 20 minutes of action.

The Redhawks drained 66.7 percent of their field goal attempts in the second half. SIUE also improved to 51.7 percent efficiency from the floor in the second period. Stone made a layup with 12 seconds left in regulation to give the visitors a 79-77 advantage, but Jackson answered on the other end with a layup off of a Stewart assist just before the buzzer to force an extra session.

Salecich drained a 3-point field goal attempt on SIUE's opening possession of overtime. The Cougars then forced a turnover which led to a dunk by Jackson and the hosts protected their lead the rest of the way.

The very even matchup was reflected in the rebounding battle as both sides finished the contest with 35 total boards. SIUE connected on 13-of-25 attempts from 3-point range.
