Recap: SIU Edwardsville vs. Saint Louis

Edwardsville, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - Jordair Jett scored a game-high 16 points, leading four players in double figures, as the Saint Louis Billikens recorded an 82-58 victory over the Cougars of SIU Edwardsville in non- conference play at the Vadalabene Center.

Dwayne Evans and Mike McCall both tallied 14 points for the Billikens (2-0), while Austin McBroom pitched in with 10 off the bench. Grandy Glaze came up a point shy of a double-double as he cleared a game-high 14 rebounds.

The Cougars (0-2) were paced by Donivine Stewart who dropped in 14 points, followed by Ray Lester with 10 in the losing cause.

SIUE shot just 36.4 percent from the floor in the first half, not to mention 25 percent behind the 3-point line, leading the team to a 46-21 deficit at intermission.

In the second half the hosts dropped to 20 percent accuracy beyond the arc, en route to the 24-point setback.

Saint Louis finished the contest shooting 54.7 percent from the field and won the battle of the boards, 37-28.
