Richaun Holmes paced the Falcons (6-8, 0-1) with 17 points. Jehvon Clarke chipped in 11 points while Anthony Henderson and Spencer Parker contributed 10 points and six rebounds apiece. The loss was the third in a row for the Falcons.

BGSU connected on only 2-of-10 tries from 3-point range and went 8-of-18 at the charity stripe in the second period. The Eagles led for the final 11:43 of regulation. EMU overcame an 0-of-4 clip from behind the 3-point line by sinking 14-of-20 attempts at the free-throw line after the break.

EMU held a narrow, 28-24, advantage in points in the paint in the contest. The Eagles' reserves outscored BGSU's bench, 10-1.
