Recap: Bowling Green vs. Central Mich

Bowling Green, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - Richaun Holmes registered a double- double with 20 points on 7-of-8 shooting and 10 rebounds, as the Bowling Green Falcons beat the Central Michigan Chippewas, 67-57, in a Mid-American Conference tilt at the Stroh Center.

Spencer Parker scored 20 points for the Falcons (7-9, 1-2 MAC), who snapped a four-game losing streak. Anthony Henderson added 13 points, while Jehvon Clarke had nine points and seven assists.

Chris Fowler led CMU (7-8, 0-3) with 19 points and five assists. Blake Hibbitts chipped in 14 points and John Simons added eight rebounds. The Chippewas have lost three straight decisions.

CMU drained 60 percent of its first half shots, but the Falcons led at the break, 33-28. BGSU shot 40 percent from the floor on five more field goal attempts than the Chippewas and managed to drain 9-of-12 from the free-throw line.

In the second half, the Falcons caught fire by making 59.1 percent of their field goal attempts. They were able to cruise to victory as the Chippewas only converted on 26.7 percent of their shots from the floor over the final 20 minutes.

BGSU played well inside, as it outscored CMU in the paint, 32-20.
