Recap: Ohio vs. Bowling Green

Athens, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - Spencer Parker led all players with 16 points, as the Bowling Green Falcons held off the Ohio University Bobcats, 58-56, in a Mid-American Conference bout at the Convocation Center.

Parker shot 6-of-12 from the field and added six rebounds for BGSU (9-9, 3-2 MAC), which has won three straight games. Jehvon Clarke netted 15 points for the visitors and Richaun Holmes chipped in 12.

For Ohio (13-5, 3-2), T.J. Hall scored 15 points, Maurice Ndour tallied 12 points and eight rebounds and Nick Kellogg added 10 points.

Ohio shot 45.5 percent from the field in the first half and held BGSU to a mere 37.9 percent shooting. The Bobcats scored the final five points of the stanza to take a 33-30 lead into the break.

In a back-and-forth second half, the Bobcats held a 51-50 led with under six minutes remaining before BGSU grabbed the advantage on a Parker jumper. That proved to be the game-winning bucket for the Falcons, as Ohio scored just three points in the final three and a half minutes. Kellogg had a chance to lift the home team to victory at the buzzer, but his 3-pointer did not fall.

Ohio was hindered by a game-high 18 turnovers, which led to 25 points for BGSU.
